Today....

I took son G to the Dr because of a nagging, productive cough and found out he has walking pneumonia.

Daughter G and I went coat shopping because when she tried on her coat from last winter the sleeves came nowhere near her wrists.

Son C, who lives to be outside, came in after just 15 minutes saying, "it's too cold to play outside."

A confusing, outstanding bill got paid in full.

I finally mailed off the ornament to my this year's Tapestry of Grace "Loosethreads" Secret Sister!

I found the bottom of the kitchen sink.

My Tuesday afternoon tutor student did an amazing job with his writing!

Daughter G and I went to her friend's annual gingerbread house decorating party and worked on a gingerbread house together.

I enjoyed the lights and garland on our fireplace mantle.

Hubby and I sat down to watch a movie and I fell asleep after 11 minutes.

Hey - sounds like a great day to me! A lot accomplished, both "musts, like new coat" and "fun, like g'bread house" - the collapsing on the couch and falling asleep 11 mn. in - that's me almost every night lately ;)

Will pray that G gets over it soon. I've had it before and it's not fun. Also, what movie? It must have been pretty boring if you fell asleep that fast.

Teacher/Mom:

It was Harry Potter #6, so not a boring movie at all! I was just so tired, as soon as I laid my head back on a pillow I was a goner. What's funny is that we tried to watch this same movie last week and I fell asleep even sooner! My hubby says he will end up having the first part of the movie memorized. :-)

(we have waited and waited on the whole HP craze, but dh read the books this past year and we are now watching all the movies so we can go see #7 in the theatre. He will start reading the books to our 13 year old this winter, and letting her watch the corresponding movie after they finish each book. The boys have to wait a little longer.)

Love hearing about your day! Makes me miss you dear friend! And you didn't include in there all the million little ways you patiently showed love to your family and encourage your husband and all the many unseen wonderful things you do for so many!
