Awana Awards Night
Last night we had Awana awards night at our church. Our 5 year old son and 7 year old son have been in Awana Sparks this past year. The 7 year old will be moving on to Stockade next fall, so this was his last year in Sparks. He worked very hard this year, as he had to finish book 2 from last year AND learn all of book 3 for this year. He did it! We are so proud of him. I love all the bible memorization they do for Sparks, and regret that our church stops this wonderful program at the end of second grade. All of our children learned the books of the bible while in Awana, as well as large passages of Scripture, and dozens of individual verses. Congratulations C and L!!

Wow, that is wonderful to have memorized all those verses in one year! My dc used to struggle with memorization. Even now they can struggle to learn their Awanas verses. However they have persevered and are on pace with their books. Good work boys!
